The Firkins Family has a very fervent passion for helping others and shows this with their years of benefaction to many local schools including the Historic Manatee High School. Because of the passion and work ethic of Robert Firkins he was selected to receive the “Outstanding Alumnus Award” from Manatee High School at the Class of 2012 graduation ceremony.
During his speech at the graduation he told to the class of 2012 to go do great things and accomplish their goals, but to never forget where they came from. He stressed the importance of giving back to the community who made you who you are. These ideals are the vision of the Firkins’ family.

Bob Firkins, our esteemed owner, recently exemplified this spirit by being honored with the prestigious 2023 LECOM Leadership Award at the celebrated Bradenton Area River Regatta Gala. Recognized for exceptional leadership and substantial contributions to the community, this award mirrors Firkins' dedication not just to the automotive industry but to the entire Bradenton community. In his own words, Firkins expressed gratitude stating, "I am humbled and honored to receive the LECOM Leadership Award. I've always emphasized the significance of community contributions, and I'm eternally grateful for every opportunity to manifest this belief."
The Firkins family, historically rooted in this community, has consistently prioritized benefaction. Their generous donations have reached out to many, notably the historic Manatee High School. It was here, during the Class of 2012 graduation ceremony, that Robert Firkins left an indelible mark with his speech.
